After listening to the entire CD, I can see why it was titled 'Christmas For Everyone'.
From their original songs, to the rearrangements of traditional songs, there truly
is something for everyone to enjoy.
The 'Sackcloth2joy' band has a very unique sound
that consists mainly of acoustic guitar, percussion, and vocal harmonies. From their
original song 'This is Christmas', to their acapella rendition of 'Winter Wonderland',
the powerful vocal harmonies are the highlight of this CD.
The band's original songs,
'It was a Silent Night', 'Christmas Time', 'Wonderful World', and 'This is Christmas'
are upbeat and catchy. These songs also demonstrate the band's musicianship and
lyrical talent. In addition, the band has taken older, traditional Christmas songs
and successfully given them a modern unique sound that is unmistakably 'Sackcloth2joy'!

You would do well to buy the new Sackcloth2joy Christmas album , "Christmas
For Everyone". It has already become an instant classic to me and in my humble opinion
(if I may), it ranks right up there with Amy Grant's "Christmas" album . (If you
don't know what I'm talking about, buy it, AFTER you buy this one). Myra Hutchison's
vocal on " You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" is STELLAR! The guitar work and percussion
of Margaret McLaughlin and Sherri Simpson, respectively, is fabulous and full, but
neither over powering nor busy. Their harmonies are lush, layered and lovely. A mean
feat for any trio! This one will surely put you in the yuletide mood. I am hard to
please when it comes to Christmas albums: to me, most sound like pop albums with
sleigh bell overdubs, but in my humble opinion (again ,if I may), this could be a
Christmas album for the ages. Excellent work Ladies, and thank you for a job well
done, I am blessed!
